The QA Specialist II candidate must be a highly motivated individual capable of utilizing scientific principles to assist in analytical testing and data analysis.


The QA Specialist II is responsible for performing Quality Assurance activities with minimal if any supervision of daily tasks in support of Quality Systems and/or client procedures including but not limited to document management, issuance, review and approval of batch records, QC data and final product releases as well as assists Quality management with department needs. Support QA and QC related projects and other activities such as software deployment and professional services validation. Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in QA in a life sciences company with a strong focus in the manufacturing and/or testing of biologics. Working knowledge and technical understanding of aseptic manufacture of biologics and cleanroom operations.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in authoring, reviewing, and /or approving cGMP/cGTP related documents (validation/qualification reports, SOPS. Etc).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical laboratory environment.
  • Understanding of quality system applications, including the use of electronic applications for training, deviations, CAPA management, etc.
  • Experience participating in or hosting health authority inspections and/or client audits.
  • Familiar with Google Suite, eQMS and Netsuite applications.

Reporting to the Lead RN, the Registered Nurse follows day-to-day instructions and guidance from the Lead RN and delivers direct care to paid, donors undergoing blood and/or tissue collections in an outpatient setting. The duties of the Registered Nurse fall into two main categories; those of general nursing and those of a hemapheresis clinician. The Registered Nurse also has a variety of administrative and non-clinical tasks. Job Responsibilities:


  • Initiate, perform, and complete donor collection procedures according to specified policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow established process flow to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped timely.
  • Perform and document pertinent assessments to establish donor eligibility and qualifications.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Apheresis Technician/Certified Phlebotomist to perform safe, effective collections in our brand new Houston, TX Collection Center. Our team provides excellent donor service while collecting blood. Under the direction of the Lead RN, this staff member will perform phlebotomy and provide direct care of paid, healthy donors undergoing blood and/or tissue collections in an outpatient setting.


Job Responsibilities

  • Venipunctures and blood collection, donor/patient recruitment & retention, donor/patient database management, donor/patient screening, medical histories, vital signs, and bone marrow assistance.
  • Manage donor/patient reactions along with consulting with Registered Nurse(s) and/or co-workers. Maintain safety and cleanliness of the collection floor. Work independently and consult with coworkers in a professional manner as needed.

  • Perform cell counts and analysis on blood specimens.
  • Perform quality control (QC) testing (cell counting and viability testing) of produced products and evaluation of tested parameters against established specifications and determining release for shipment
  • Management and execution of Work Orders, Assembly Builds, Material Transfers, and Fulfillment tasks, including data recording and troubleshooting within Netsuite ERP
  • Performance of controlled temperature packaging and logistics activities (scheduling, system entry, labeling) for Commercial (Fed Ex) and independent (local couriers) carriers.
  • Handling and disposing of biological waste
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills
  • Licensed Phlebotomist with minimum 1-year experience. This is a critical and non-negotiable requirement. Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Blood collection and/or logistics experience is a plus.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Certification.
  • Familiar with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of medical procedures and ability to understand, follow and successfully perform whole blood collection and/or apheresis procedures.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Policies and Procedures and regulatory materials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to follow protocols to maintain quality systems.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Donor Coordinator

Job Description:


Reporting to the Manager, Donor Management, the Donor Coordinator is primarily responsible for the management of donor scheduling and appointments in a very busy blood and bone marrow collection facility. This includes assisting with donor recruitment, scheduling, payments, and database management.

This role requires precise attention to detail along with good organizational and time management skills. This position is also required to interact professionally with donors and collaboratively with clinical staff to facilitate an efficient and timely collection schedule. May be required to work some weekends to support collections as needed.


Responsibilities:


  • Create and maintain a welcoming and friendly environment through engaging with donors at the front desk.
  • Assist donors with appointment check-in process, ensuring donors complete any entry screening and all required paperwork.
  • Check donors out of their appointments, ensuring any compensation is accurately processed and distributed.
  • Provide education to donors during New Donor onboarding, including promoting current promotional programs (i.e. Refer a Friend).
  • Manage routine donor scheduling to ensure fulfillment of all appointments.
  • Participate in donor retention and appointment execution activities, including recruiting events on an as needed basis.
  • Monitor daily collection schedules and communicate accordingly to clinical and other departments.
  • Communicate any disruptions to the collection schedule in real time and reach out to donors as needed to secure a replacement.
  • Engage in ongoing donor communication through phone calls / emails.
  • Respond promptly to donor issues, concerns or questions.
  • Assist with clinical administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist DM Project Team in custom order donor identification, retention and sourcing.
  • Maintain accurate and live time information in the donor management system including donor contact information and all communication exchanges.
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure donors are correctly allocated to their appointments.
  • Prepare needed paperwork for next day collections as assigned, including but not limited to donor consents, donor payment sheets etc.
  • Make routine donor reminder emails, calls or texts as assigned.
  • Provide general administrative support including but not limited to copying, filing, and document preparation as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by department or manager.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years related administrative experience. Previous experience working in blood collections or donor related field a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service orientation toward both internal customers and external clients.
  • Excellent technical and computer skills; knowledge of Google Apps, Microsoft Word, and Excel strongly preferred; willingness to learn additional job-relevant software, as required.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, and be extremely thorough and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to complete job tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to multi-task, work independently and manage multiple competing priorities.

Reporting to the Manager, Donor Management, the Senior Program Manager is responsible for managing the success of complex customized projects, strategic internal implementations within Donor Management, and donor-facing initiatives. This role will serve as an intermediary between the customer facing departments and donor management. This is a remote position that requires the ability to work during standard business hours in the pacific standard time zone (between 8am-6pm PST).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures both internal and external team members are aware of integrated project timelines, and provides timely updates that may have cross-functional impact.

  • Coordinates all activities required to complete the project or task through the team and ensure its timely completion, ensuring current policies and practices are followed, and accurate documentation is maintained.
  • Ensures each team member understands project objectives, specifications, deliverables, timelines and tasks through ongoing clear, concise communication.
  • Proactively identifies issues that may affect quality, cost, or service levels early within the project and works with the team to resolve.
  • Assesses business risk and prioritizes tasks among many activities as multiple projects will be assigned.
  • Identifies gaps in internal workflows and processes, then collaborates with appropriate parties to develop and implement solutions to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Provides support as needed for the donor management department at large serving as

back up when needed for key roles.
